Miss Shortridge Dies Friday Night
She Was Born Near Potter; Was Life Member of the Christian Church.
Miss Florence J. Shortridge, 63 years of age, died Friday midnight at the University of Kansas hospital, Kansas City, Kas., where she had been a patient since April 1.
Miss Shortridge was the youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. Shortridge. She was born December 31, 1882, near Potter in Atchison County. She had been a life member of the Christian church.
She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. C. N. Faulconer, Atchison, with whom she made her home; Mrs. J. A. Edwards, 569 Congress street, Leavenworth; and a brother, J. T. Shortridge of Lee's Summit, Mo.
Funeral services will be at Stanton's funeral home, Atchison, Monday at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Loyal Northcott officiating. Burial will be in the Round Prairie cemetery.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon [May 14] at 2 o'clock at the Stanton chapel, Athison, for Miss Florence Shortridge, 62. Rev L. Northcott officiated. Burial was in the Round Prairie cemetery. She was born Dec. 31, 1882, in the Round Prairie neighborhood. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. C. N. Faulconer, Atchison; Mrs. John Edwards, Leavenworth; one brother, James Shortridge, Lee's Summit, Mo.
