Walter Freienmuth Rudeloff

Walter Freienmuth Rudeloff of San Antonio, 82, died March 22, 2004, after a long illness. He was born in Seguin on Sept. 21, 1921, to Sylvia Freienmuth and Otto D. Rudeloff.

He grew up in Beeville, graduated from A.C. Jones High School in 1938 and served as an officer in the United States Navy during World War II. He practiced law in San Antonio where he was appointed a member of the city council and was city attorney for Selma.

He is survived by his wife, Jocelyn; two sons, Walter F. Rudeloff Jr. and wife Susan of London, England, and Robert E. Rudeloff and wife Cindy of Dallas; one grandson, Stefan Fritz Rudeloff, and one granddaughter, Erica Rudeloff, both of Dallas; one brother, Richard E. Rudeloff and wife Martha West Rudeloff of Beeville; and one sister, Sylvia McCord of Beeville.

Graveside services were held March 26 at the Schumannsville Cemetery in Guadalupe County and memorial services are planned for 4 p.m. May 16 at the First Unitarian Universalist Church, 7150 W. IH 10, San Antonio.
