Simon Kasper

Simon Kasper passed away at his home in the western part of Milaca township on January 25 with heart trouble after an illness of two months, and death only relieved him from intense suffering. Deceased was born in Bohemia, October 28, 1855, and came to New York state in 1872. He worked there for three years when he came to New Prague, Minnesota, where he was employed on a farm for two years. In 1877 he came to Minnesota where he married Miss Marie Maxa of Montgomery, Minnesota. They lived in Minneapolis for twenty-two years, where Mr. Kasper was employed as an engineer.

Mr. Kasper moved to a farm he had purchased in Chase Brook in 1900, and by consistent industry has a fine home and farm. He was laid to rest in the Swedish Chase Brook cemetery last Thursday afternoon following the funeral services at the residence. He leaves a wife and four children to mourn his departure. The children are Joseph W. Kasper of Sunburst, N.C., Mrs. John Murray, Lisbon N.D., and Ed and Frank, who reside on the farm with their mother.
