Rev. Robert Joseph Kasper

Services for Rev. Robert Joseph Kasper, 92, Lawrence, KS, formerly of Tonganoxie, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at the Plymouth Congregational Church of Christ, Lawrence.

Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Tonganoxie.

Mr. Kasper died May 6, 2011, at Presbyterian Manor, Lawrence.

He was born Aug. 10, 1918, in Emmett, Idaho, the son of Joseph and Edith Roberts Kasper. He served in the United States Army during World War II.

He was united in marriage to Shirley Freienmuth on July 10, 1949, in Tonganoxie. He retired as the minister for the First Congregational Church of Christ, Tonganoxie.

Survivors include his wife, Shirley Kasper, of the home; one son, Joseph Kasper, Denver; one daughter, Kathleen Poole, Walnut Creek, Calif.; one granddaughter; and four great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends one hour before at the church.
